Hello! We're Buddi. We're a Canadian-based Cannabis Software company that provides technology solutions for retailers and producers. Our flagship solution for retailers is our online menu, which embeds into a retailer's website, allowing their customers to reserve online and pick up in-store, or have cannabis delivered to them. Our most popular product for producers is our media offering that provides advertising opportunities on retailer menus where we know the product is in stock. What you'll be doing:
- As our first QA hire you'll be responsible for creating QA processes and building the department from the ground up. We have ideas but it'll ultimately be your vision that guides us.
- Review product requirements and user stories to understand new features.
- Identify test cases based on our requirements and create detailed test plans.
- Work with the team to automate some manual testing in key areas of our application.
- Work with team members cross-functionally to investigate reported bugs. Then document the reported bugs and verify they have been fixed.
- Work with the product and development team to groom the bugs backlog and determine their priority.
- Contribute ideas early on in the product requirements process for new product features.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a QA role focusing on web-based software products.
- Self-starter that can take the lead and own projects.
- Previous experience coordinating and working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience writing test plans and creating test data.
- (Bonus) Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman.
- (Bonus) Experience or interest in using test automation tools such as Rainforest QA or similar.
Salary & Benefits:
The Salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. We offer full health benefits from Pacific Blue Cross for employees and their families. We're a remote company with employees across the country (Toronto, London, Vancouver, Edmonton, and more).
